Long overdue post. We decided to visit this place before it permanently became part of the history. As one of the oldest estate in Singapore, it was disheartening to know that it would be demolished, but I guess it's inevitable as part of the modernization process. It's just like life, we move on, certain things have to be left behind, but memories stay.
The weather wasn't very good on the day of our visit, hence we were not able to capture the colourful buildings with blue sky. In fact, it was raining cats and dogs at one point of time that the only thing we could do was just waiting.
Somehow we couldn't manage to capture all the colours. We didn't have enough time to explore the area and find the most photogenic corner due to the heavy rain.
Maybe this was the only photo that captured all 4 iconic colours.
While waiting for the rain to stop, we decided to go for indoor photoshoot.
My favourite photo on that day.
Freshly made popiah wrapper.
Original churros. We didn't have the guts to try ondeh-ondeh flavour.
Beetroot Salted Egg Yok Burger.
Sea salt Hokkaido milk soft serve in cone with cotton candy. It melted so rapidly, even before we could take a proper photo for it. Looking good, didn't taste that good.
We tried the laksa and salted egg prata bomb. Too bad that I deleted the video of the creamy salted egg sauce oozing out from the prata. The prata was quite impressive though I remember paying 6 dollars for that small prata.
