Probably the most expensive 5-star resort I stayed in my life, therefore, it's a must to write a thorough review dedicated to Fusion Resort.
What we like about the resort
First of all, the resort is very near to Cam Ranh/Nha Trang Airport. It's only about 10-min drive away. This was one of the key reason that we chose to stay here during our last day of the trip - minimise rush and hassle to the airport. In fact, there are a lot of similar high-end resorts along Cam Ranh Bay for you to choose from. The hotel provides shuttle service from Nha Trang city centre at specific timings. They can also arrange transfer service to/from airport upon request, supposedly a not-so-small fees apply, but we weren't charged in the end. Otherwise, you can book Grab service which is cheaper according to the hotel staff.
All-spa-inclusive is one key feature of Cam Ranh Resort. You can claim 2 spa services every day and reservation is strongly encouraged. Any additional spa service is subject to availability. No luck for me to enjoy extra spa session during the stay. I opted for a muscle tension release massage and brightening facial. They were combined into a 100-min session. It was a good experience.
With "breakfast anytime, anywhere" service, you can have breakfast by the pool, in the spa, on the beach, in your room, whenever you want. Of course, you still get to enjoy traditional buffet breakfast, if you wish to. I have to complement the food choices for buffet breakfast at Fresh Restaurant. My brothers went to Breeze to examine the ala-carte breakfast menu and found that the choices were limited.
Buggy service is available, but most facilities are within walking distance from the villas. Will you ever get bored? You can join day tours, yoga classes, have daily spa treatment or medicure/pedicure service, dip in the swimming pools, exercise in the gym or simply laze around at the beach.
What we do NOT like about the resort
Good things aside, I am going to share about some facts that you may want to consider before booking your stay.
Firstly, if you enjoy doing water-based activities at the hotel private beach, then you will be disappointed. The waves are just too strong. It's safer to just have fun at the swimming pools. Those who wish to do snorkeling have to join tours for a day trip to nearby islands.
Food options are limited (and expensive) if you don't venture out to the town. We had dinner at Fresh Restaurant. Ordered a few dishes to share but wasn't very impressed in terms of quality. However, if your budget allows, you can throw a BBQ party at your villa.
We travelled in a group of 6 but there weren't any options for this group size. The next available option after a family room that accommodates 4 adults is a grand pool villa whereby 8 people can stay in.
Oceanfront pool in the morning.
Woke up with a view like this was simply perfect.
I only realised that I took so few photos on the room features when I started drafting this post :(
The bathtub looked very inviting but we didn't have time for it.
Well, I could still take a photo in it :)

Ultimately, it's your travel style and objectives decide if this kind of laid-back villa life is suitable for you. I suggest spending at least 3 days here allows you to fully explore and utilise all the facilities or services provided (albeit you must be willing to splurge to begin with).
Something fun to end this post with your laughter!
