Hello gorgeous!
Today I am going to introduce a highly instragrammable place in KL city - the Selfie Museum. Fellow ladies, time to scream! It is located at level 2 of Fahrenheit 88 shopping mall, easily accessible by cars or public transport (Bukit Bintang MRT or monorail station).
What I like about the museum:
What I dislike about the museum:
Room 1: The Giant Cake
The little girl in me was yelling in excitement when I entered the room full of giant cupcakes, lollipops and cake slices! Too adorable and my favourite was the charming mermaid cupcake!
- Ticket currently on promotion at RM20 per pax. Nine desserts-themed rooms in a single ticket price, super worthy! Previously it was charged at RM45, as the admission also included 5 sweet treats. However, the desserts were actually on a first-come-first-serve basis and had resulted in frustration among visitors. Therefore, I was glad that the management team decided to scrape the idea off and allowed us to visit the place at a lower price.
- Limited display duration. In fact, I am not quite sure how long the exhibition will be available.
- No time limit. You may spend as much time as you desire in each room, which guarantees you good photos despite the crowd, as long as you are patient to wait for your turn.
- Crowd control with restriction on number of visitors at each time slot. To avoid disappointment, you may book your preferred time slot through their website.
What I dislike about the museum:
- No washroom within the museum. Please clear your bladder before entering the museum as there is no turning back.
- Some displays are not very well-maintained.
- No staffs standby to help to take photos. Well, it's selfie museum after all, just our humble wish to have staffs roaming around to offer their help.
Room 1: The Giant Cake
The little girl in me was yelling in excitement when I entered the room full of giant cupcakes, lollipops and cake slices! Too adorable and my favourite was the charming mermaid cupcake!
Room 2: Everything's Sweet
Inspired by the girly concept of Benefit Cosmetic, the room is decorated with lovely pinkish items.
In my opinion, this is absolutely the main highlight of the room a.k.a the most instragrammable corner.
Room 3: Fluffy Path
Soft, fluffy, airy and puffy marshmallows surrounding us! However, I have to admit that I am never fond of marshmallows in real life, haha!
Room 4: Ice-cream room
In contrast to the previous pastel-coloured rooms, this room applies eye-catching colours that will make your photos stand out in social medias :)
I am a huge fan of Baskin Robins mint ice-cream with chocolate chips. Glad that the flavour was chosen here.
Acting like a bitch.
Room 5: dUCkies Cafe
It is a smart idea to get different sponsors to set up their own unique rooms for brand awareness. I learned a new brand from the visit - dUCk, the new cool, marketed as a lifestyle brand for the modern city girl. The combination of purple and white is exactly the colour of their logo.
When the sign says "No Photo!!", we decided to snap more photos!
Room 6: Rainbow Room
The most colourful room ever with a cute unicorn who seems too full from indulging the desserts.
And my tail was chopped off in the photo, showing how tired the photographer was after snapping hundreds of photos of me! But hey, we have few more to go!
Room 7: Super Happiness Room
Had so much fun in this room as the place belonged to us solely with no other visitors around!
Best place to do your Boomerang on Instagram.
Kids will definitely enjoy themselves very much in this pool.
Room 8: Splash Room
Calling for all bubble tea addicts! Oh, they have llao llao here as well!
Who could resist real-sized llao llao? Though I prefer to have it with more fruits and toppings :3
Room 9: Do-Nut-Stop Room
I love how they named the room! Sure enough, the neon-themed room gives a cool vibe as compared to the cute vibe in all other rooms.
Bonus Room: Samsung Interactive Room
You will be asked to draw or write something on Samsung phone and it will appear on the screen as the backdrop. Apologies that I wasn't being very creative as you can infer from the photo below.
Finally we have to come to an end to this lengthy post. I couldn't choose which photos to post, so I decided to post all of them. I sincerely hope the they will renovate the place and come up with new theme after the end of this exhibition! See you in the next post~
