KL - Broga Hill

Went back to Malaysia during Hari Raya long weekend. Instead of being a couch potato at home (though I had millions reasons to stay at home for FIFA World Cup), we decided to go for a short hike in Broga Hill. My brother had been there before and he was quite familiar with the route. In fact, you can just follow the crowd. Don't forget to bring water and some snacks to fill your stomach. Don't expect for food stalls up there, haha!

We reached the place at about 5.45am and immediately started our journey in order to catch the sunrise. The parking fare is RM1 per person (not per vehicle) and there is an additional entrance fee of RM1 to Broga Hill. It takes 45 mins to reach the first peak on average. There are a total of 3 peaks, the further you go, the less crowded it is, the better the view though my brother opines that the second peak offers the most amazing view.

We weren't very lucky on that day as it started drizzling while we were approaching to the peak. Luckily the rain didn't last but the weather was cloudy, and yeah, no sunrise for us! Sigh. Still we enjoyed the view and had a good time up there.

My sleepy face while waiting for the sunrise.

Huhhh??? No sunrise?

I find the walk rather challenging especially the last stretch of the journey. Just do it slowly and carefully as it can be quite steep. Stay safe and hopefully you get to enjoy the spectacular sunrise!
