Yes, yes, I am fully aware that the exhibition was no longer available by the time this post was published. For those who missed it this year, keep an eye on the annual Mid-Autumn light-up event in Vivo City in the future. Do you still remember the Tsum Tsum displays last year that created a hype among locals? I missed it, oh well :3 Glad that Vivo City didn't disappoint us this year with Alice in Wonderland-inspired displays, providing whimsical backdrops for those who are photograph-minded.
If you are looking for photo opportunities with minimal people as your background, maybe a visit during daytime will work better. The downside is the dreadful afternoon heat that can gets unbearable.
The lanterns will be lit up daily from 7pm onwards and the place gets extremely crowded since then. The beautiful set-ups completed with dazzling lights are just too difficult to resist, and I am certain that kids will enjoy themselves very much, given Alice in the Wonderland probably is one of their favourite bedtime stories.
Apologies for my dead face due to the scorching weather. The price we paid to beat the crowds.
Zone 1: Down the Rabbit Hole
Begin your adventure through a tunnel known as Down the Rabbit Hole, similar to how Alice started her journey to the world of wonders.
This photo will look enchanting with some edits, but I was just lazy to touch up further :P
Zone 2: A mad tea party
Join Mad Hatter's tea party in your next stop! I personally think that the displays (including tea cups and colourful desserts) will look more outstanding when they are lit up at night. Therefore, I didn't take any photos in this area, apart from sitting like a queen at the photo below (which did not turn our to be particularly nice).
Zone 3: Tunnel of soldiers
This has to be my favourite zone! Playing card soldiers and beautiful crimson roses (with imaginary fairy lights) were a great combination.Zone 5: The Queen’s Castle
Finally we were at the Queen's Castle - the grand finale!!! I feel that I picked the right dress as yellow seemed to complement the background very well.
