Singapore - Yayoi Kusama Special Exhibition

Wouldn't describe myself as an artistic person. However, when I viewed my friend's colourful Instagram photo taken during this exhibition, I told myself that I couldn't miss this opportunity of life. Before this exhibition came to Singapore, I had read an article about Yayoi Kusama, regarding her extraordinary personal life as well as her obsession about dots and nets.

Dates: 9th June to 3rd September 2017

Let's begin the journey!

Pumpkin - one of the key artworks from Yayoi Kusama.

This is known as infinity. How to create infinity in a limited space.

Supposed to be the highlight of the visit - the Infinity Room. However, each group was only allowed to stay in the room for 20 seconds. I was kinda disappointed as we were instructed to enter the room with another pair of strangers and somehow our view was blocked as we entered the room later. Couldn't take a proper photo, sigh. However, I was still amazed by the spectacular idea from Lady Yayoi. As if I was living in a dream.

Say hi to more dots ~

One of my favourite session with all the beautiful paintings with all the colours!

Narcissus Garden - a garden of 1,500 reflective stainless steel balls.

Giant balloons? They change colour when you "pat" them. Or to be more precise, "slap" or "smack"? Nah, try to be gentle with them, okay?

Too bad that we missed this as it was nearly 7pm (closing time) and could only peek from the entrance. Arghhh, I love the colours.

It was a well-spent afternoon in National Gallery Singapore. Wish I had more time to explore the exhibition. Would love to queue one more time for Infinity Room!
